Bridge collapsed due to ship collision in Maryland, USA: Cargo ship was going to Sri Lanka

A part of the 'Francis Scott Key Bridge' collapsed after a cargo ship hit it in Maryland, USA. According to the New York Times, the incident took place around 1.30 am US time. After hitting the bridge, it caught fire and the ship sank.

This ship flying the Singapore flag was going to Sri Lanka's capital Colombo. It had left only a short time ago and was scheduled to reach Sri Lanka on April 22. The name of the ship is being told as Dali. Officials said that efforts are being made to rescue 7 people. Due to the collapse of the bridge, many vehicles on it also fell into the water.
