Pakistan New Prime Minister: Shehbaz Sharif again becomes Pakistan's PM

Pakistan New Prime Minister: Senior Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Shehbaz Sharif has once again become the Prime Minister of Pakistan.  He was elected PM after a vote on Sunday (March 3, 2024).  Shehbaz Sharif filed his nomination papers for the post of prime minister on Saturday (March 2).  Even before the vote, the figures were in favor of the PML-N and it was believed that Shehbaz Sharif would once again command the country.  Imran Khan's PTI leader Omar Ayub Khan had filed his nomination papers for the post.
Voting for the election of the prime minister began in the Pakistani parliament on Sunday.  During the voting, Shehbaz gained a lead of more than 100 votes over his rival.  Shehbaz Sharif got a total of 201 votes, while PTI’s Omar Ayub Khan got 92 votes.  Shehbaz Sharif was then announced as the new prime minister of Pakistan.  Shehbaz Sharif is expected to be sworn in as prime minister on Monday.
