Pankaj Udhas' pancreas cancer took his life at the age of 72

On Monday, famous ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas passed away at the age of 72.  Bhajan singer and friend of Pankaj Udhas, Anup Jalota, while explaining the reason for his death, said that the singer died due to pancreatic cancer.  He was fighting this serious disease for the last several months.

Speaking to India Today, Anup Jalota said, 'The person who helped many cancer patients, himself died of cancer.  This is life.  He had pancreatic cancer.  I knew this for the last 5-6 months.  For the last 2-3 months he had stopped even talking to me.  I am very sad that the disease took his life."
