More than 550 railway stations of the country will be rejuvenated, PM Modi will also give a gift worth crores to Bihar tomorrow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of more than 554 stations under Amrit Bharat Station across the country through video conferencing on 26 February 2024.  Along with this, he will also inaugurate more than 1585 newly constructed Road Over Bridges and RUB/LHS across the country.  In which development plans of various railway stations under East Central Railway are also included.
 On this occasion, the foundation stone of redevelopment of 38 stations and 29 ROBs and 50 RUB/LHS under the five divisions of East Central Railway at a cost of Rs 3029 crore will be laid by Prime Minister Modi.  Out of 38 stations of East Central Railway, 22 stations in Bihar, 14 in Jharkhand and 02 stations in Uttar Pradesh are to be redeveloped.  Similarly, out of 29 ROBs of East Central Railway, 27 are in Bihar, 12 in Jharkhand and 01 in Uttar Pradesh and out of 50 RUB/LHS, 23 are included in Bihar, 22 in Jharkhand and 02 RUB/LHS in Uttar Pradesh.
Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, keeping in mind the convenience, accessibility and safety of future passengers, station buildings, entry and exit gates, foot over bridges, concourses, platforms, circulating areas, parking, disabled facilities, lighting arrangements, as per requirement, will be constructed at these stations.  Necessary development work like seating arrangements, drinking water arrangements, sanitation arrangements, access roads, signal and instruction boards, train display and announcement system, beautification etc. will be done.  Along with this, people will get the facility of barrier-free and safe road traffic through the newly constructed road over bridge and underpass.
