PM Modi expressed grief over the demise of Kuwait's ruler, announced state mourning, tricolor will remain at half mast

Kuwait King Dies: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (December 16) expressed grief over the demise of Kuwait's ruler Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Sabah.  PM Modi said that he was deeply saddened to know about the unfortunate demise of Sheikh Nawaf.  We express our deepest condolences to the royal family and the people of Kuwait.
Along with this, the government has announced one day state mourning on Sunday (17 December).  During this period the national flag will remain at half mast.  The Home Ministry said that in honor of Amir Sheikh, the Government of India has decided that there will be a day of mourning on 17 December.  The national flag will be flown at half mast on all buildings across India where the national flag is regularly flown.  There will be no entertainment during this period.
