India, which is buying cheap oil from Russia, will now buy oil from Venezuela also.  Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that India will buy crude oil from the Latin American country Venezuela, because Indian companies are capable of refining it.
This statement of the Union Petroleum Minister has come at a time when India is starting to buy oil from Venezuela after almost three years.  According to reports, at least three Indian oil refining companies have purchased oil from Venezuela, which is expected to reach India in the next few months.  At the same time, another company is also considering buying oil from Venezuela.
Addressing a press conference on Friday, Hardeep Singh said, "India is a major international consumer of crude oil. In such a situation, India is ready to buy oil from all those countries on which there is no embargo. We have many refineries which import oil from Venezuela.  "Imports are capable of refining heavy oil. We have always bought oil from Venezuela and we will also buy it. We had stopped importing oil from Venezuela because Venezuela was not able to supply oil due to the sanctions."
