Explosion near army station in Jorhat, Assam, third explosion near military camp in a month

A blast took place on Thursday night near the Army Station in Jorhat, Assam.  However, the explosion was of mild intensity.  There is no news of loss of life or property in the incident.  According to the police, the blast occurred at around 8 pm on Thursday night.
The explosion took place near the gate of the military station in Lichubari area of ​​Jorhat.  After this blast, District Commissioner Pulak Mahant and senior police officers reached the spot and investigation has been started.  Security has also been increased in the area.  The police have also started investigation in the surrounding areas.  Earlier there were explosions in Tinsukia and Sivasagar of Assam.  ULFA(I) claimed responsibility for these attacks on Sunday.
 On November 22, a person was arrested in the grenade blast case near the Army Camp in Dirak, Tinsukia.  Earlier on December 9, the sound of an explosion was heard near the CRPF camp.  Following ULFA(I)'s claim, Assam DGP had tweeted that every personnel of Assam Police, Army and CAPF takes oath under the national flag to protect the integrity and sovereignty of the country.
