World Cup 2023: The World Cup 2023 match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand is being played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The Sri Lankan team, which came to bat first, was bowled out for 171 runs in 46.4 overs by the New Zealand bowlers. New Zealand has got a target of 172 runs to reach the semi-finals. For Sri Lanka, Kusal Mendis scored the highest score of 51 runs, while Mahesh Tikshina scored 39 runs. Apart from this, Dhananjay de Silva played an inning of 19 runs. Earlier, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and decided to bowl first in the World Cup 2023 match against Sri Lanka. The New Zealand team is in the race for a place in the semi-finals along with Pakistan and Afghanistan. The team has included fast bowler Lockie Ferguson, who has recovered from injury, in the playing eleven in place of spinner Ish Sodhi. Sri Lanka has given a chance to Chamika Karunaratne in the playing eleven in place of Kasun Rajitha.
