A surprising news came about ISRO yesterday i.e. on 04 November 2023. This news was published in the media institutions of South India. In which it was said that ISRO chief Dr. S. Somnath made an allegation against former ISRO Chief K. Sivan. Somnath said that Sivan had hindered his becoming ISRO chief. Sivan did not want Somnath to become ISRO chief.
Somnath has made this allegation in the book 'Nilavu Kudicha Simhangal' based on his life. When the controversy over this matter escalated, Somnath gave clarification and said, 'I have not written anything that K. was interested in becoming ISRO Chief. Sivan tried to stop my promotion. This is wrong.' After the increasing controversy, Somnath has now decided not to publish the book.
When news agency PTI talked to Somnath about this, he said that every person has to face many difficulties while reaching the highest post in any organization. Many challenges have to be overcome. Similar problems faced him also. He said that I have written about the challenges in my life. Did not make any personal comment on anyone. He is not against any one person.
Many people are suitable for any high position. I was just raising this issue. I have not targeted any one person. However, Somnath also told how Chandrayaan-2 had failed. Somnath said that Chandrayaan-2 mission failed due to haste. Because all the tests that should have been done on him were not done.
