Internationaldesk:
Luna-25 was Russia's first mission to the Moon in nearly 50 years.  Russia's plan was to make a soft landing of this unmanned vehicle on the south pole of the Moon but this could not happen.  Now Russian State Corporation Roscosmos has made a big disclosure on the crash of Luna-25.
Roscosmos said in the preliminary investigation of the accident that Luna-25 crashed due to a malfunction in the on-board control unit.  According to the agency, an inter-agency commission is investigating the cause of the crash of Luna-25.  This commission will now provide its recommendations to prevent such incidents in future lunar missions.
Roscosmos said the control unit failed to deactivate the propulsion system, causing the explosion to last one and a half times longer than required at the spacecraft's speed toward the Moon.
