Education Minister Ranoj Pegu today explained the important decision (Assam cabinet decision) held on Monday. “The government has taken special decisions to clean up the recruitment process,” he told reporters. Strict action will be taken against those who use dishonest methods in the recruitment examination. The rules will apply to everything from APSC to TET. Candidates who use dishonest means face up to three years in jail and a fine of up to Rs 1 lakh. Those involved in leaking papers, writing answers differently, holding examinations outside examination centers etc. will face jail term of 5 to 10 years or fine of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 10 crore. All those involved in the examination in dishonest ways will be guilty. Two additional years in jail if the fine is not paid.
