Lieutenant General Raghu Srinivasan took charge as the 28th Director General Border Roads (DGBR) on Saturday (September 30). He has taken charge after the retirement of Lieutenant General Rajiv Chaudhary. Before appointment as DGBR, Raghu Srinivasan was working as Commandant in the College of Military Engineering, Pune.
This information was given by the Defense Ministry. Raghu Srinivasan is an alumnus of the National Defense Academy, Khadakwasla and the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. During his illustrious service, he participated in Operation Vijay, Operation Rakshak and Operation Parakram. He has experience of serving in border areas, especially in Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

He has also worked as a defense advisor for two years. Raghu Srinivasan has also held several key command and staff appointments during his long and illustrious career, qualifying in the prestigious DSSC, Higher Command and NDC courses.
