Dalai Lama on Tibet: Is the Dalai Lama's mind changing.  In fact, he recently said in Dharamsala that Tibetans want greater autonomy instead of political separation from China.  He said he wanted to go to Lhasa but Dharamshala was his favorite place to stay.
The Dalai Lama has reiterated his previous statement on reconciliation.  It is different that China has consistently rejected these comments.  China has accused the Dalai Lama of promoting separatism and being a separatist.
The Dalai Lama said China is also changing now.  He knows that many people in Tibet love him.  Similarly, many Chinese citizens also love.  They want the same.  They want to go back to Tibet but don't want to stay there.  Lhasa is very high.  The height of the Dharamshala is very suitable for their physical condition.  His statement reflects the practical considerations of living in the high altitude environment of Tibet, which can be physically difficult, especially for older people.
The Dalai Lama is set to begin daily preaching in Dharamsala on October 2, according to the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), which is responsible for overseeing the Tibetan exile population.  He is then scheduled to leave for Gangtok on October 10 where he will deliver a sermon near the Chinese border and the Doklam Plateau.  Doklam is where the stalemate between Indian and Chinese troops was witnessed in 2017.

The Dalai Lama has already spent about a month in the area.  In addition, the Dalai Lama is set to visit Bylakuppe in Karnataka, the second largest Tibetan refugee settlement after Dharamsala.  Former US President Barack Obama is also expected to attend the visit.
