Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the International Lawyers Conference 2023 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Saturday. Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud and Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal also attended the inaugural function. PM Modi said that simplicity of language and law is an important aspect of the country's justice system. On this occasion, CJI Chandrachud said that it is not imaginary to aspire to a world where nations, institutions and most importantly individuals are open to connect with each other.
'Lawyers strengthen the foundation of the country'::
Addressing the session, PM Modi said that the judicial society plays an important role in the lifestyle and culture of any country. Many prominent lawyers in the freedom movement also gave up their active practice in the national movement. Most of the big freedom fighters were lawyers. He laid the foundation for the development of the country by lawyers involved in the judicial profession both then and after independence. The Nari Shakti Vandan Act passed by the Parliament will give a new direction to the country.
