The first season of the Asia Cup was held in 1984. The tournament was then held in the UAE, with the Indian team defeating Sri Lanka in the final to win the title. The last time the Indian team played in the ODI Asia Cup final was in2018. They won the title by defeating Bangladesh in the final in Dubai.
