FIR against Sudhir Choudhary, accused of defaming Karnataka government

Nationaldesk:
The Karnataka government has registered a case against Aaj Tak news anchor Sudhir Choudhary for deliberately and maliciously giving false information.  Sudhir Choudhary had said in his show 'Black and White' today that only Muslims would benefit from a scheme of the Karnataka government.  But the Karnataka government says the scheme is aimed at providing economic benefits not only to religious minorities but also to SCs, STs and backward classes.
In fact, basing an advertisement of the Karnataka Minority Welfare Department, Sudhir Chaudhary on his show claimed that the Congress government in Karnataka would only give discount of 50 per cent or maximum Rs 3 lakh on purchase of commercial vehicles to minorities and not for Hindus  is.
Sudhir also says in his show that the scheme will benefit mostly Muslims as they have the largest minority population in Karnataka.
It is to be noted that the problems of different communities in Karnataka and the responsibility of implementing schemes for them lie with different departments.  Like Minority Development Corporation Ltd. for schemes related to minorities, similarly for SC, ST communities there is Dr. BR Ambedkar Development Corporation Ltd.
