Congress national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra arrived in Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday morning to assess the damage caused by the disaster. Priyanka reached Bhuntar in Kullu by air from Chandigarh. She was accompanied by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukkhu, state in-charge Rajiv Shukla, MP Pratibha Singh and Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh. She then inspected the devastation caused by the floods. Priyanka also met flood victims in Bhuntar. During the visit, she listened to the problems of the affected people and assured all possible help.
Priyanka Gandhi will also visit Solan and Mandi districts. After talking to flood victims in Manali, she is scheduled to fly by helicopter to Pandoh in Mandi and meet the affected. She will then reach Solan. Priyanka will then arrive at Kalyani Helipad Shimla. Priyanka Gandhi is said to be staying at her residence at Chharabra in Shimla. On Wednesday, she may also meet disaster victims in Shimla.
