Storm Daniel Hits Libya: Floods caused by Hurricane Daniel in the Mediterranean have wreaked havoc in Libya.  In the town of Darna on the country's east coast, 2,000 people are feared dead.  The AP news agency quoted Osama Hamad, the prime minister of the government formed in eastern Libya, as saying.
Speaking by phone with al-Masr television station on Monday, Prime Minister Osama Hamad said 2,000 people were feared dead in the eastern city of Darna, while thousands more were reported missing.  He said the floods have washed away the entire area in Darna.  The government has declared Darna a disaster area.
