Land for Job Scam: CBI gets permission from Home Ministry to prosecute Lalu Yadav

The CBI has got permission from the Home Ministry to prosecute Lalu Yadav in the land for job scam.  The CBI informed the Rose Avenue court.  However, the government has not given permission to prosecute the three officials accused in the case.
 The CBI had filed a supplementary chargesheet in the case on July  Tejaswi Yadav's name was mentioned in the chargesheet for the first time.  The CBI has chargesheeted 16 people including Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi in ​​the case.  These include the names of accused railway officials and job takers.
The land for job scam case is 14 years old.  Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister at the time.  It is claimed that Lalu Yadav, while he was the Railway Minister, had registered the land of the people in exchange for giving them jobs in the railways.  Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009.
 The CBI had registered a case in the case on May18.  According to the CBI, the people were first recruited as substitutes in Group D posts in the railways and were regularized when their families made a land deal.
 The CBI says Lalu Yadav's family allegedly occupies 1.05 lakh square feet of land in Patna.  These lands were dealt in cash.  In other words, the Lalu family bought these lands by paying cash.  According to the CBI, the lands were sold at extremely low prices.
