Prominent writer Ananta Kalita passes away.
The author passed away at 7 am on Sunday. He was admitted to Namecare Hospital in the city after suffering from a serious illness for some time.
Besides being a writer, Kalita was a bank employee by profession. He has also published many articles on science, economics, society, etc. in newspapers and magazines.
The author, who made a significant contribution to the world of Assamese literature, donated his body before his death.
