Former US President Donald Trump has surrendered to Atlanta's Fulton County Jail on election fraud charges. Security outside the jail has been tightened in view of Trump's surrender. However, he came out 20 minutes after surrendering. His convoy headed for Atlanta's Hertsfield-Jackson Airport. Where he will fly private jet to New Jersey Golf Club.
After Trump surrendered, the Sheriff's Office said Trump had been formally arrested . Officials said they expected to take Trump's mug shot at the Fulton County jail. The Fulton County Jail has released a mug shot after Trump's fourth arrest. Trump has become the first former president of the United States to have his mugshot taken. These images were released after Trump surrendered in Georgia . It shows the former president staring at the camera wearing a blue blazer and red tie.
As Trump arrived at the jail, dozens of supporters waved Trump banners and American flags to catch a glimpse of him . Among the Trump supporters gathered outside was U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green of Georgia, one of the former president's most trusted allies. Lyle Reworth, 49, who works in the aviation industry in the Atlanta area, had been waiting near the jail for 10 hours since Thursday morning. "I hope he sees me waving flags, showing support," he said.
