Chandrayaan-3’s next orbit reduction maneuver is scheduled for August 14

ISRO Chandrayaan-3 Mission: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Chandrayaan-3 is very close to hoisting the Indian flag on the chest of the moon.  It is currently orbiting the Moon in an orbit of 174 km x 1437 km.  August 14 is a big day for Chandrayaan-3.  ISRO will launch Chandrayaan-3 into low lunar orbit between around 11.30 am and 12.30 am.  The scientists will sit in Bangalore to carry out the manoeuvre.
Chandrayaan-3 was launched on July 14.  It is scheduled to make a soft landing on the moon on August  Russia has also launched its own mission to the moon, called Luna-2  It is expected to land before Chandrayaan-3.
