Independence Day: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to people to change their DP on social media and put up the tricolor flag on Independence Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (August 13) tweeted asking people to take this step while helping to deepen their relationship with the country.
“In the spirit of the tricolor movement in every household, let us change the DP of our social media accounts and contribute towards strengthening and deepening our relationship with the country are.'' PM Modi on his social media accounts Facebook and Tweet on Independence Day.
This year, 1,700 special guests will be part of the event at the Red Fort on Independence Day. Among the 1,700 special guests invited to hear PM Modi's address are people involved in various flagship programs like Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Amrit Sarovar Yojana and Central Vista Project, an official release said.
