Pepperfry: Pepperfry CEO Ambarish Murthy passes away after suffering a heart attack

Pepperfry co-founder and CEO Ambarish Murthy died of a heart attack in Leh.  The company's co-founder and COO Ashish Shah made the announcement on Tuesday.  Murthy (51) was also an angel investor.  He recently announced on his LinkedIn post his 12th anniversary at Pepperfry .  He was a 1996 batch student of IIT Calcutta and completed his graduation from Delhi College of Engineering in 1994.
Ashish Shah, co-founder and COO of Pepperfry, said in a tweet, “Extremely sad to announce that my friend, mentor, brother, intimate Ambarish Murthy has passed away.  He died of a heart attack in Leh last night,” he said.  Murthy co-founded furniture and home decor company Pepperfry in 2012 with Shah.
