India's much-awaited lunar mission 'Chandrayaan-3' had its encapsulated assembly attached to its launch vehicle (LVM3) on Wednesday (July 5) in preparation for its launch. Launch Vehicle Mark-III (LVM3) is a three-stage medium-lift launch vehicle developed by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
“Today, the encapsulated assembly of Chandrayaan-3 has been connected to LVM3 at the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota,” ISRO tweeted. Some pictures and a video of the event have also surfaced.
An estimated launch date of Chandrayaan-3 is fixed between July 12 and 19. If all goes well and things go according to plan, it is expected to launch on July 13. ISRO chief S Somnath had recently said that a possible date for the mission launch would be chosen as soon as possible.
