PM Modi will preside over the 22nd Summit of SCO Council Heads of State on July 4, 2023

The 22nd Summit of SCO Council Heads of State is being held virtually on 4 July  It will be presided over by PM Modi.  The summit will be attended by all SCO members.  China and Pakistan have announced in press conferences in their respective countries that they will be attending the summit virtually.  Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the virtual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) hosted by India next week, an official announcement in Beijing said on Friday.  Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is also attending the meeting virtually.
 China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have been invited to the summit.  In addition, Iran, Belarus and Mongolia have been invited as observer states.  In accordance with SCO tradition, Turkmenistan has also been invited as a guest.  Two Heads of Secretariats of the SCO Body and SCO RATS will also be present.  In addition, the heads of six international and regional organizations have also been invited.  These include the United Nations, ASEAN, CIS, CSTO, EAEU and CICA.
