Big news is coming from Manipur, which is in the grip of violence. In the latest development in the ongoing crisis in the state, Chief Minister N Biren Singh may meet the Governor today and resign. According to sources, Biren Singh will hand over his resignation to Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uike at around 1 pm today. After 59 days of unrest in the state, he has failed to restore peace.
According to reports, Biren Singh was given the option of either resigning or the Center would intervene and take over. The Chief Minister then had no choice but to resign.
