Dispur College has announced reservations about the transgender community in undergraduate courses.
Navajyoti Borah, the Principal of Dispur College said, "We have five seats reserved each in the Arts and Commerce stream"
The total number of seats available in the college will be 10.
"In an effort towards gender equity, we have already built a toilet block for the transgender students on our campus", the principal added.
The Principal further added, "This allocation is in addition to the existing seat and it will not impact in general seat capacity. There should not be any misunderstanding among the candidates seeking admission in Dispur College."
