Furkating College has been ranked 122nd in the 2023 survey of India Today. The college's principal, teachers and students are delighted with the improvement in the ranking this year.
The University Grants Commission has recently recognized the college as an Autonomous College in recognition of its continuous achievements in various fields.
The college will introduce major courses in five subjects of science and postgraduate courses in Assamese and political science at undergraduate level from the current academic year. The college has been identified as a skill hub under the Prime Minister's Strategic Development Scheme by the Government of Assam and various skill development courses will be introduced.
