PM Modi received Egypt's highest honor

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on the second day of his state visit to Egypt.  On Sunday, he was awarded the Order of the Nile, Egypt's highest honor, by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.  It is the 13th highest state honor in a country bestowed on Prime Minister Modi.  The Order of the Nile was founded in Egypt in  It was founded by the then Sultan of Egypt, Hussein Kamel.  After the monarchy ended in 1953 and Egypt became a republic, the Order of the Nile was reorganized as the country's highest honor.
In fact, these honors are given to heads of state, princes and vice presidents who have provided invaluable services to Egypt or humanity.  It is like a pure gold necklace.  It consists of three square pieces of gold.  It has three interconnected units of circular gold flowers decorated with turquoise and rubies.
