Air India's senior pilot of the Boeing -777, Captain Joya Agarwal, has made its way to the SFO Aviation Museum. Joya is the first Indian woman pilot to fly an aircraft over the North Pole and has covered a record-breaking distance of nearly 16,000 km. For the first time in 2021, an all-female pilot team of Air India led by Joya Agarwal had covered the world’s longest air route from San Francisco (SFO) in the US to the North Pole in the Indian city of Bangalore.
The US-based aviation museum was impressed by the achievement of all female Air India pilots and offered to accommodate the achievement in its museum. Speaking to ANI, Capt. Joya Aggarwal explained that she is the only person to get a place as a pilot in the San Francisco Aviation Louis A. Turpen Aviation Museum, commonly known as the SFO Aviation Museum.
Captain Joya told that, "I was shocked to see that I am the only living person there, I am very grateful. I can't believe I'm part of one of the most prestigious aviation museums in America."
