Suranjana Dutta is the first Assamese woman to become the Chief General Manager of the State Bank of India

There is good news for the people of Assam.  The State Bank of India (SBI) has appointed an Assamese woman as the Chief General Manager.  The woman is Suranjana Dutta.  Suranjana Dutta is the first Assamese woman to hold this post.
 Dutta joined the State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer in 1991 and has already earned a reputation in various parts of the country.  Suranjana Dutta, who also spent some time in Japan, completed her PU  from Cotton College.  Suranjana Dutta graduated from Cotton College and obtained her postgraduate degree from the University of Delhi.
