At least six people were killed and two others injured in a house bomb blast in the Daya Din Panah area of Kot Addu district in Punjab on Thursday (June 1). Muzaffarnagar District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Hasnain Haider confirmed the incident and said all the deceased belonged to the same family, who worked as junk peddlers. He said the family was removing junk when the sudden explosion occurred.
Two women, Hasina Mai, 40, and Shano Mai, 28, were among the dead, a Rescue 1122 spokesman who arrived at the scene said. The two men include Bilal (38), Iqbal (30) and two children, one aged two and one aged four. The injured persons and bodies have been shifted to district headquarters hospital Kot Addu.
