New addition to transportation in the North East. The "Bande Bharat Express" between Guwahati and New Jalpaiguri started today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 'Bande Bharat Express' through video conference at 12 noon on Monday.
The train will run between Guwahati and New Jalpaiguri at higher speeds than the Rajdhani Express. The train is traveling at a speed of about 110 km per hour. The train will run six days a week and will take about 5 hours 50 minutes to cover the distance between Guwahati and New Jalpaiguri.
