Delhi Liquor Scam Case: CBI filed supplementary chargesheet in Delhi Excise Policy case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in its supplementary charge sheet has alleged that former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia shaped public opinion in favor of the excise policy by obtaining favorable opinions from Delhi Minority Commission trainees.
 The investigating agency has alleged in the charge sheet filed before the special CBI court on April 25 that the Delhi government had constituted an expert committee to make radical changes in the excise policy, which had made its recommendations.  Sisodia, who was unhappy with the recommendations, asked then Excise Commissioner Rahul Singh to post the Dhawan Committee report on the website and seek public opinion, the chargesheet said.
 In the supplementary chargesheet filed against Sisodia and other accused in the case, the central agency has alleged that it "dishonestly and deceptively" incorporated provisions in the excise policy as per its "preconceived" views to "framed public opinion."  ' through wanted to prepare the basis.
 The chargesheet alleges that Sisodia “received some forged emails through Delhi Minorities Commission Chairman Zakir Khan, which were sent by Delhi Minorities Commission trainees to a dedicated email ID of the Excise Department... including one  per accused Manish Sisodia was attached.''
 It alleged that the suggestions made in the email - allotment of retail liquor licenses through auction of zones, reduction in excise duty and VAT as well as increase in license fees and increase in the number of liquor shops- Khan to Sisodia  were in the handwritten note handed over by, directing that various emails be received on the given email IDs to get public opinion on the 'said lines'.
