Senior advocate and Secretary of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) Zafaryab Jilani passed away on Wednesday morning, May 17, He breathed his last in Lucknow. Zafaryab Jilani had been suffering from several health problems for a long time after suffering a head injury. Though Zafaryab Jilani is no longer with us, he will be remembered whenever the Ayodhya Ram Temple and Babri Masjid are mentioned.
Senior advocate Zafaryab Jilani represented the Babri Masjid Action Committee in the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi case. He had lobbied the case on behalf of the Babri Masjid Action Committee. Earlier, he had served as Additional ADG of Uttar Pradesh.
