If you use Facebook, you must have noticed a problem recently, some people may have received friend requests from your account but you did not send them. In the past few days, saw this problem in Facebook's platform. Friend requests were automatically going to unknown people, however this problem has now been fixed by the company.
Meta has fixed a bug in Facebook that sent automatic friend requests when users visited a profile. According to The Daily Beast , the company apologized for the glitch after several Facebook users complained about massive privacy violations on the social media.
A Meta spokesperson said, “We recently fixed a bug related to an app update that caused some Facebook friend requests to be sent in error. We have prevented this from happening and we apologize for any inconvenience."
