National Desk:

Daksha, a female cheetah brought from South Africa, died in Kuno National Park on Tuesday evening.  The cause of death was attributed to mating between cheetahs.  According to Coono management, the South African male cheetah had a collision with the female cheetah over mating.  In this battle, the male cheetah had clawed and badly injured Daksha.  The female cheetah Daksha then lost her life.
According to a press release issued by the Coono National Park management, the female cheetah Daksha, which was released from Kuno National Park from South Africa at 10:45 am on May 9, was found injured by the monitoring team.  Veterinarians treated him, but at 12 noon the cheetah died of grief.
The female cheetah was released in Daksha Enclosure No. 1 and the cheetahs Vayu and Agni brought from South Africa from nearby Enclosure No. 7 were released.  The Cheetah Male Caucus entered Daksha's enclosure from its enclosure on May 6.
The wound found on the body of the female cheetah Daksha confirmed that it probably happened during mating.  According to veterinarians, it is normal for male cheetahs to behave violently toward females during mating.  In such a situation, the monitoring team cannot even intervene between them.
