Indian Army Truck Catches Fire: Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch accident, lightning fell on the army truck, 3-4 soldiers feared dead

A major accident took place in Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.  Lightning caused a fire in an army truck on the National Highway.  Three or four soldiers are said to have died in the accident.  The truck was passing through Jammu-Poonch highway in Bhata Dhadya area when the lightning struck it.
 According to official sources, the truck was carrying 10-12 soldiers.  After the lightning strike, the truck caught fire and the soldiers in it were burnt.  The injured soldiers have been admitted to hospital.  The army vehicle was reportedly carrying diesel besides weapons, which caused the fire to escalate.  At the time of the incident, the area was raining, but despite this, the truck fire could not be controlled.
Army and police officials have reached the spot and efforts to extinguish the fire are underway.  The army has not yet commented on the incident.  This matter is being investigated.  A video of the incident has also surfaced, showing the army vehicle engulfed in flames.  While people passing by were seen helping to extinguish the fire.
