International Desk:
Khalistan supporters damaged a statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Canada early Thursday.  Spray paint was sprayed on Gandhi's statue and insulting slogans were written in pro-Khalistan graffiti.  The graffiti also contains slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  Khalistan supporters carried out the attack near City Hall in Hamilton, Ontario, where a statue of Gandhi has been displayed since 2012.
According to a Hindustan Times report, the vandalism was carried out with a six-foot-tall bronze statue of Gandhi.  The statue was gifted to Canada by the Government of India.  In the video, it can be seen that the statue is painted on all sides and has graffiti on all sides.  They contain slogans against Mahatma Gandhi and PM Modi.  Khalistan supporters also put up a Khalistan flag near Gandhi's stick.
However, as soon as the authorities learned of the incident, they immediately removed the graffiti and paint from the Gandhi statue.  Hamilton police said they received a complaint about the incident Thursday afternoon and were investigating.
