Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben Modi is no more. She passed away today at the age of 100. She was admitted to UN Mehta Hospital in Ahmedabad this week after her health deteriorated. PM Modi (Narendra Modi) also went to meet her on Wednesday.
Hiraben Modi was that Indian woman, who was always very active from her childhood till her old age. Like common people, she stood in queues, used to go to vote and also cooked her own food. Her whole life was a struggle.
Hiraben Modi was the mother of one of the most powerful politicians in the world. Heeraben was born on 18 June 1922 in Mehsana, Gujarat. She was married at a young age. The husband was Damodardas Moolchand Modi, who was a tea seller in Vadnagar. She had 5 sons and 1 daughter. Her children are Amrit Modi, Pankaj Modi, Narendra Modi, Prahlad Modi, Soma Modi and daughter Vasanti Ben Hansmukhlal Modi.
