After a long political deadlock in Belgium, a new Prime Minister has been appointed. Bart de Wever, who wants to divide the country and give more autonomy to its northern Flanders, has been given the responsibility of the PM post. Wever took the oath in front of King Philip. He said that I took the oath of loyalty to the king.
In the multilingual country, while the prime minister and some of his key ministers took the oath in Dutch and French, other ministers in the 15-member delegation took the oath in their own languages during a ceremony. This is the first time a Flemish nationalist is leading the federal government.
