Operation Bhediya: After Bahraich, wolves terror in Khandwa

Five members of a family were injured when a wolf attacked them in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh.  A senior police official said.  The incident took place at around 2.30 am in village Malgaon in tribal-dominated Khalwa tehsil, about 20 km from the district headquarters, Harsud sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Sandeep Waskale told reporters here.  “After the family made noise, neighbors and others arrived and chased the wolf away,” the SDOP said.  A woman and four men were injured in the attack.
 They are undergoing treatment at Khandwa Medical College and Hospital.” Divisional Forest Officer Rakesh Damor told reporters that rabies vaccination and medicines were administered to the injured.
