There is a relieving news for Indian tourists visiting Sri Lanka. Now you will not have to face any hassle to pay in Sri Lanka as Sri Lanka now launched Phonepay UPI which will allow Indian tourists to pay easily.
PhonePay announces partnership with LankaPay. This will enable the company’s users to make payments using UPI (Unified Payment Interface) in Sri Lanka. At an event here, PhonePay said tourists traveling to Sri Lanka can make payments through UPI to businesses here using LankaPay QR through its app.
Transactions will be made accessible by UPI and Lankape National Payment Network. This allows users to make safe and quick payments by scanning the Lanka QR code. The amount will be deducted in Indian rupees based on the exchange rate.
