Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme: If you are also planning to buy cheap gold then you have a good opportunity.  Now cheap gold is being sold by the government.  Series IV of Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2023-24 (SGB Scheme 2023-24) is going to open.  This series is opening on 12th February i.e. tomorrow.  The price of gold available under this scheme has also been fixed.
 From February 12 to February 16, you can buy cheap gold under this scheme.  In this scheme you will have to spend Rs 6,263 for 1 gram of gold.  The date of its release has been fixed as 21 February 2024.
 RBI has said that you can buy one gram of gold in Sovereign Gold Bond for Rs 6,263.  Those applying online and paying through digital means will also get the benefit of a discount of Rs 50 per gram.  RBI said that the price of gold bond for such investors will be Rs 6,213.
 Know important things-

 >> The maturity period of Sovereign is 8 years.
 >> In this scheme, after completion of maturity period, there is no tax on the profit arising from it.
 >> If you withdraw your money after 5 years, then the profit arising from it is taxed at 20.80% in the form of Long Term Capital Gain (LTCG).
 >> PAN number is necessary to invest in this scheme.
