Excise Police Scam: Judicial custody of former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia extended till April 17

 A Delhi court on Monday extended the judicial custody of former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia till April 17 in the Excise Policy scam case.  CBI Judge MK Nagpal of Rouse Avenue Court has ordered the AAP leader to be produced in the court on April 17.  The Central Investigation Agency had sought extension of Sisodia's custody.  The team had said that some things have been left in the investigation which are very important and the investigation has reached the final stage.  Earlier, on March 31, the court had rejected the bail plea of ​​the former Deputy Chief Minister.
   Refusing to grant him bail, Judge Nagpal had said that prima facie Sisodia could be considered a criminal conspirator.  He observed that advance bribe payments of around Rs 90-100 crore were made to him and his other associates in the AAP government.  20-30 crores out of the above to co-accused Vijay Nair, Abhishek Boinapalli and approver Dinesh Arora and in return certain provisions of the Excise Policy to protect and preserve the interests of the South liquor lobby and to ensure repayment of kickbacks to the said lobby  was allowed to be tampered with and manipulated by the applicant.
