A 42-year-old woman was tragically killed when she was hit by a speeding SUV in Mumbai on Sunday morning. The woman was jogging and is believed to have been hit by a car from behind. The incident took place at 6:30 am near Worli Dairy on Worli seaface, a few meters from the Worli-Bandra sealink. The deceased woman is a resident of Dadar-Matunga area.
The driver has been arrested after a medical examination. The driver allegedly lost control of the car and hit the divider after knocking the victim down. The car is in worse condition. The woman died on the spot after sustaining serious head injuries. The collision was so severe that she jumped in the air and fell to the ground. The woman was taken to Nair Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
