Manish Sisodia, who was the Deputy CM in the Delhi government, has been sent to judicial custody till March 20 by the court.  Till then he will be kept in Tihar Jail.  That means his Holi will also be celebrated in jail only.  He will be produced in the court on March 20 at 2 pm after the judicial custody is over.
Before Sisodia was sentenced on Monday, there was a hearing on this matter in the court.  Meanwhile, Sisodia demanded spectacles and Bhagavad Gita from the court.  He also sought permission from the court to do Vipassana.  He also told the court about Vipassana.  After listening to Sisodia, the court ordered the jail superintendent to consider his demand.
CBI arrested Manish Sisodia on 26 February.  This action was taken in the case of alleged scam in the controversial liquor policy of the Delhi government.  CBI has arrested Sisodia in this case after about 6 months of investigation.  The new excise policy was implemented by the Kejriwal government in Delhi on 17 November 2021.  The Delhi government had argued to end the mafia rule by bringing a new excise policy.  It was also claimed that this would increase the revenue of the government.
