Yamunotri Dham will travel by ropeway, the journey of three and a half hours will be completed in 15 minutes

Ropeway is going to start soon for the world famous Yamunotri Dham.  For this, today the government has entered into a contract with a private company on PPP mode.  Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj told that the ropeway has been contracted on PPP mode and its work will start soon.
With the construction of ropeway, the journey of 5.5 km will be completed in 15 minutes.  For Yamunotri Dham one has to travel six kilometers on foot from Kharsali.  It takes three to three and a half hours for the devotees to cover this distance.
