National Desk:
Congress media department chief Pawan Khera has been granted bail by the Dwarka court on the orders of the Supreme Court. He was arrested by Assam Police from Delhi airport on Thursday (February 23). Earlier, the Supreme Court had directed to release Pawan Khera on interim bail. The court has sought replies from the Assam and Uttar Pradesh governments for consolidating several FIRs against Khera.
The Supreme Court will next hear the case on Monday (February 27). In the Supreme Court, the Assam Police had said that Pawan Khera had used "derogatory remarks" against the democratically elected Prime Minister. The Assam Police said it would like to file a reply to a writ petition seeking protection from arrest in the FIR registered against Pawan Khera.
